Outstanding Achievement Award for Cathexis

South African digital surveillance system developer and manufacturer Cathexis has been awarded a special 'Outstanding Achievement' award from Intel.

Cathexis has manufactured in excess of 5000 digital surveillance systems that have been supplied to integrators in South Africa, USA, UK, Europe, India, Australia and the Middle East. Having been in the digital surveillance business for 10 years, the company has grown with the digital era and has been at the leading edge for most of the time.

"We work closely with Intel to ensure that our systems are reliable and produce the best possible performance," says Cathexis operations manager, Gary Shepperson. "Production is completely under our control and manufactured strictly under ISO9001 conditions. Intel provides us with leading edge technology that we use in conjunction with our own hardware and software to produce leading edge solutions for the market."

Cathexis systems incorporate a choice of JPEG, Wavelet and MPEG technology that satisfies 90% of the marketplace application requirements. All of the systems can communicate with the company's remote Control Room and Alarm Management software suite to provide a powerful offering.
