Colour 3 megapixel IP camera

February 2006 Surveillance

The E-IP3100 is a second-generation IP network camera with a resolution of up to 2040 x 1530. It is able to provide an image resolution three to four times that of a standard analog CCTV camera. It also compares favourably price-wise with medium-end IP cameras and or high-resolution analog CCTV cameras.

Many customers want a wide-angle camera that will cover as much as possible in the camera's view. However, when it comes to playing back images after an event, they are disappointed at the image resolution captured. With the E-IP3100 the same wide-angle view can be captured but at a much higher resolution. The customer is then able to digitally zoom the image after the event.

The camera uses a progressive-scan image sensor, making it ideal for capturing fast moving objects such as vehicle number-plates without the limitations of interlaced-based scanning.

The E-IP3100 cameras have many advanced onboard functions. These include programmable brightness, saturation, gamma, sharpness, windowing and decimation. It is also capable of providing simultaneous streaming of full field of view and zoomed images at instantaneous video frame rates. Images can be electronically zoomed, panned and tilted, as well as mirrored or rotated.

Suitable ideally for well-lit areas, the E-IP3100 performs best in daylight conditions or in indoor areas with good illumination.

With full POE (power-over-Ethernet) support, the E-IP3100 fits well within today's modern network architecture. The POE support allows the camera to be powered over the same network cable that is being used to transmit its data. For this, a POE injector is required (optional). It can also be externally powered via the 2,1 mm DC socket.

The E-IP3100 cameras are fully supported by E-LuxRiot IP recording/monitoring software. When combined they provide an advanced high-resolution digital video recording and surveillance system. Video images are captured by motion-activation and can be searched via time/date and or a motion graph. Images can also be digitally zoomed post-event and still images or video clips exported from the E-LuxRiot software.
