Since the market introduction in April last year, the FAP 500 smoke detector is not only showered with attention, but also with prizes. On the occasion of the Intel Show in Milan in May, the Design Award 2005 in the Innovation category went to the FAP 500 smoke detector from Bosch. During the ceremony the jury made the Top Selection from 90 entries (five for each category: Innovation and Design).
At the industrial fair Light+Building 2004, Bosch Security Systems was honoured with the award 'Design Plus Light+Building' for the FAP 500 by the Design Council.
The FAP 500 was also awarded the Prize for Innovation in Architecture and Technical Systems as well as the 'Detektor International Award' at the Intersectech Expo & Conference in Copenhagen, Denmark, in November 2004. 'Finally a smoke detector concept that meets the end user's needs of discreet and aesthetic design,' was the jury's opinion.
