TAITRA in SA

February 2006 News & Events

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) hosted a Taiwanese Delegation in December. The group consists of 30 representatives from 17 prominent manufacturers in Taiwan offering distinctive surveillance CCTV products for the global market.

"Each year TAITRA South Africa facilitated a number of delegations from different industries in Taiwan aimed to promote bilateral trade between the two countries," says Casper Wang, director of TAITRA.

The major function of TAITRA includes market development, strategic marketing, trade information services, exhibitions, convention services and e-trading hub services. In order to provide a better understanding of the local security market and business environment TAITRA included Elvey Security Technologies on its business tour.

"Elvey is a dominant player in the South African security industry and represents some of the most prestigious brands around the world. Our visit to Elvey was most interesting and informative for our delegates," Wang explains.

"It was a privilege for Elvey to be nominated by TAITRA as a preferred overseas distributor for its delegation," says Jack Edery, CEO of Elvey Security Technologies.

In 2005, we met with over 25 local and international manufacturers. Our affiliations with renowned manufacturers enable us to provide exceptional products to our customers," adds Edery.
