A new concept in video intercom

November 2005 Infrastructure

BPT, distributed by TRI-BPT Automation, presents two new developments: Ophera - a new 3,5" LCD colour video intercom monitor with an innovative design: recessed, hands-free with hi-fi audio performance, with three interchangeable covers (orange, arctic blue and vanilla), with adjustable viewing option. A perfect and modern medium to combine security and interior decoration, Ophera can also provide intercom feature up to eight receivers in the same house or office. But Ophera is not only design and aesthetics, it is also a concentrate of technology. It works with a new bus system called X1.

X1 is a new two-wire bus which allows it to transmit all the information and power on a simple non-polarised twisted pair. Between the entry panel and the power supplier only four wires are required. Then from the power supplier to all the receivers only a twisted pair is required, including power, whether you have audio, video black/white or colour or even telephone.

X1 features also a very simple programming procedure called 'self-learning'. There is no setting or configuration of dip-switches. It is enough to send the call from the entry panel to the relevant receiver and the system will do the programming itself.

All the main aesthetics are available on X1 technology: Lynea, Nova and the new Ophera.
