Wireless domestic security system

October 2005 Residential Estate (Industry)

An intelligent wireless alarm solution is now available for up-market residential installations.

The Wisdom Wireless security system offers the latest in complete wireless technology.

The system is fast and easy to install, saving on time and installation costs. All-in-one console technology and additional wireless keypads and accessories provide the only fully wireless solution.

The simple menu driven programming logic is easy to learn and allows fast system configuration. A full voice menu guide enables simple remote phone operation ie, remote system arm and disarm via telephone and two-way voice communication to the premises. The integrated voice module provides volume controlled audio announcement and feedback of the system status and allows a recording message centre.

Reliable and trouble-free service is obtained by wireless calibration and adjustable threshold levels, enabling higher false alarm immunity.

Transmitter signal strength and RF noise are also displayed on the LCD, eliminating the need for an extra signal strength meter. The installer can thus have confidence in the detector placement and range reliability of each detector. Wireless detectors are supervised for the presence of low battery, tamper and signal jamming.

Other accessories include a rolling code four button keyfob for remote arm and disarm, wireless smoke detectors, wireless magnetic door contacts, panic pendant transmitters and universal transmitters for the integration of other detection devices.

The alarm panel has 32 wireless zones and one wired zone with up to three partitions or areas. The system also features four programmable outputs, external tamper input, 250 event log, 32 user codes, a built-in siren and an external siren driver.

Additional integration and communication features include a home automation interface module, a GSM/GPRS communication module for all station reporting, SMS and voice messaging as well as upload and download operations.
