RF wireless backup available

August 2005 IT infrastructure

Napco Security Group has introduced its StarLink RF wireless backup, available locally from Powerhouse Electronics. This unit, SL-1/12 comes with 12-months service and enables backup reporting of alarm conditions to any central station over a nationwide dedicated digital network. The surprisingly economical, supervised StarLink SL-1 Unit and service are easily enrolled online and make backup alarm reporting, regardless of telephone line condition, an affordable option for virtually every account.

StarLink's performance is universal, allowing it to work with any control panel, no matter what brand. It also supports all central station formats and requires no additional central station equipment. Low standby current (<20 mA) maximises protection when both AC loss and telco loss occurs (common during natural disasters).

StarLink allows for fast, easy installation by hooking up with as few as four wires and there are no dipswitches to set. StarLink's automated operator system and website, accessible from the StarLink 'button' on Napco's homepage at www.napcosecurity.com are accessible 24-hours a day for signal verification and account set up.
