HID expands line of smartcard products

December 2000 Access Control & Identity Management

Locally available through Honeywell-Teqtrader, Ademco Video has introduced the AHDR1 single-channel digital video recorder. The AHDR is a replacement or upgrade for analog videocassette recorder (VCR) that combines all the benefits of digital technology with familiar, easy-to-use VCR style controls.

The AHDR1 uses Ademco Video's proprietary compression algorithm (ML-JPEG), making it possible to save long hours of high resolution digital video on its removable hard disk drive (configuration and site dependent).

Key features include:

* Removable 40 GB hard disk drive.

* User definable recording schedule.

* User selectable recording rate/image quality settings for both time lapse and alarm modes.

* Audio recording/playback (single-channel).

* Compatible with Ademco Video and other manufacturer's multiplexers.

Future releases, aimed at providing increased functionality and storage capacity, will build on the existing feature set.
