A camera for every requirement

December 2004 Products

The CamPlus line of cameras from GE Infrastructure's Security division uses the latest digital signal processing (DSP) technology to deliver sharp, clear pictures under all conditions. That makes them ideal for a variety of applications, including utility and infrastructure, airport, homeland security, commercial and retail environments.

"Every CamPlus camera features advanced technology to give you better pictures," says Brett Birch, managing director for the Security division of GE Infrastructure in South Africa.

"Digital backlight compensation prevents important foreground objects from becoming lost against bright backgrounds," Birch maintains.

"Furthermore, the innovative PlusPack functionality makes it easy to send video over existing transmission networks," he adds. "Simply attach the PlusPack to convert BNC analog output to unshielded twisted-pair (UTP), fibre, RF or IP video transmission."

For the most challenging environments, Birch advises customers to choose a model with Day-Night technology and adjustable gain control for superior low-light performance and sensitivity to infrared light-as low as 0.1 lux.

CamPlus cameras feature side-mounted control panels so users can easily access the camera's controls without disturbing its field of view.
