Expandable HSC 505-E alarm control panel

September 2004 Perimeter Security, Alarms & Intruder Detection, Information Security

"The introduction of the expandable HSC 505-E alarm control panel from QD Electronics (QDE) earlier this year has been met with great excitement and enthusiasm by the electronic security industry," says Mel Labuschagne, sales and marketing director of QDE.

The HSC 505-E was introduced to the market in September 2003 as being expandable only to 16 zones. Now it expands to 32 zones, by 8-zone expander, directly off the 4-wire bus-line, accommodates a CODEX (encrypted rolling code) receiver for remote arm/disarm, panic, fire or medical emergency requests, each logged by user, and is fully SAIDSA Bylaw 25 compliant. Managing director, Tom Kenny elaborates that "an immense amount of additional development has been done to this already powerful 8-zone expandable alarm panel to position the HSC 505-E as the 'best value for money' in its class. The market requested a more installer and user-friendly locally manufactured alarm panel, using LCD keypads, expandable, partitionable, lightning resistant in SA conditions, and more."
