Fermax aims high in SA

Fermax is a manufacturer of door control, video door control, digital audio and video communications systems and access control equipment for domestic and industrial applications.

With its headquarters in Valencia, Spain, Fermax has developed as a multinational company, setting up a second production centre in China in 1997.

It also has its own subsidiaries in France and England, and sales offices in Bratislava, Singapore and Bahrain. It currently has commercial relationships with 70 countries throughout the world, and is represented locally by Space TV, Linear Electronics, AC/DC Dynamics and Security City. All Fermax products are available through these companies.

"Fermax has had a presence in South Africa since 1986," says Gunder Holst, sales manager: international sales at Fermax. "We have important projects for the future and with a great goal: to reach the whole world. We see South Africa as the most important market in Africa, our market share is growing and we are aiming for a 30% market share in the country."

Holst says that the company will be releasing new products to the local market early next year. Watch this space!
