Intelligent building management systems

Visonic Technologies has developed the Eiris 'Intelligent Building Management Systems'. Using wireless infra-red (IR) and radio frequency (RF) technology, Eiris 'Intelligent Buildings' integrates Eiris communication, energy efficiency, security and time management modules into a smart yet simple management solution activated by personal and equipment identity badges. The result is improved personnel productivity, tighter cost efficiency and boosted customer service.

Eiris 'Intelligent Buildings' badges interact with corporate structures to create an environment that adapts to the individual. The Eiris IR badge tells the building where the person is so that it can adjust lighting, temperature, communication and security needs to the individual.

Eiris equipment badges, attached to mobile equipment, inform management where company assets are at all times. The tamper-proof Eiris 'Intelligent Buildings' asset badge is affixed to movable equipment and other important assets to improve equipment usage to avoid overstocking and deter theft.

Eiris IR badges can be companioned with respective asset badges, allowing only certain individuals to accompany movable assets. This feature is valuable for laptop protection for example, since only the owner/user who is companioned with the laptop may move it within the building or remove it from the building.
