The Stanley Works completes acquisition of Blick plc

UK-based Blick plc, a leading supplier of integrated security, communication and time management solutions, has announced that it has been acquired by The Stanley Works, a worldwide supplier of tools, door systems, security solutions and related hardware for professional, industrial and consumer use.

Stanley Security Solutions is a leading global provider of security solutions and sees this acquisition as a significant step towards the development and growth of its security solutions platform and, through synergies in both companies, will strengthen the positions of both Blick and Stanley in worldwide markets.

Commenting on the acquisition, Stefan Oberholtzer, managing director of Blick South Africa said, "I am very excited about the opportunities ahead. Blick brings a wealth of experience in integrated security, access and time management solutions to the Stanley group, and I am confident that this new partnership will add to our combined success of technological development and product integration opportunities, which will be extremely positive for our customers, employees and partners."
