The Opsis Alpha, available as an 8-channel and a 16-channel digital CCTV recorder, boasts state-of-the-art wavelet technology and is backed by the Opsis track record of long-term dependability, factory support and value. This user-friendly system has a host list of features and technical capabilities, including a scheduler and multiple video motion detection trigger zones with settings for sensitivity. The embedded multiplexer is fully programmable with selectable frame rate, recording mode and image quality.

Programmable live monitoring from up to five video monitors are independent from the recording process and provides for set-up options per camera, text overlay and camera titling. The Alpha recorder supports simplex, duplex and triplex recording, a networking capability for an unlimited amount of cameras and provision for Internet connectivity. Each recorder is equipped with advanced self-diagnostic and on-line support features and is data communications ready.

Alpha is suitable for applications requiring high-speed recording and instantaneous footage retrieval such as airports, shopping malls and 24 h operations.

Extended storage options are available. The standard capacity of 50 GB can be upgraded to 200 GB per recorder and with the addition of RAID up to 2400 GB can be accommodated. A 25 GB archiving feature is also available where regular back-ups for long-term storage is required. Back-ups can also be done over a network to a server.
