Since the launch of the Orbit-Pro in early 1998, Sesco has had considerable success with this modular alarm system. In order to keep up the changing demands of the industry, there have been many enhancements and additions to the system.
Recent installations include the Durban Reserve Bank, which appointed Secure Deale as the security consultants and contractors for the project. The project included system enhancements for CCTV, access control, intercom, smoke detection, public address system and intruder detection.
Secure Deale's Technical Director, Alf Gother states, " Because of Sesco's reputation for the reliability of its Rokonet products, we decided that the Orbit-Pro was the ideal solution for the intruder detection element of the system. We have particular faith in the Orbit-Pro and we have used it to its maximum capacity in this application. We are using 96 zones, three LCD keypads, transaction printer and interface in the system. One of the primary functions of the panel is to monitor for tamper conditions.
"Other installations are those executed by Guardian Integrated Systems at the Alexander Forbes Head Office in Umhlanga Rocks, and Nampac's new offices in Durban, large department stores such as John Orrs, Clicks, Discom, and Ackermans. Most of these are multi-zoned and partitioned systems".
