Restructured Aludi consolidates position with multiple orders

December 2003 News & Events, Security Services & Risk Management

A recent restructure, which saw an extensive management change, has breathed a new energy and focus into security and parking solution provider, Aludi Technologies. According to new group general manager, Frank Fowles, the company has recently won a number of significant orders, with several more in the pipeline.

"Exciting times are ahead for Aludi," he says. "Our recent successes, as a result of our sales force restructure and renewed commitment, indicates that we are on track to re-establish ourselves as market leaders and capture additional market share. The recent orders, all for parking systems, total in excess of R6 million."

The new projects include an installation of three pay on foot systems, comprising 10 pay stations from Asytec, at the Bedford Centre in Johannesburg. The new systems are to be installed in the centre's new parking facility in February 2004.

A further four pay on foot systems are to be installed in centres in Cape Town - two at the new Promenade centre in Camps Bay and two systems at the Stadium on Main shopping centre in Claremont. A pay on exit system is also to be installed in Windhoek, at the Gustav Vought shopping centre.

Fowles is very positive about the organisation's future since the restructure and makes no attempt to hide difficulties that have bedevilled the company in the recent past.

"I am fully aware of the concerns that have been raised in the market and I have met these challenges head on. We have recruited a number of the most competent and respected members of our industry as dedicated area specialists to take our business to the next level and a new training programme for all our staff has been implemented to hone both technical skills and customer service.

"I am also pleased to report that an agreement has been reached with Asytec, our premium equipment supplier, re-establishing our relationship with full technical support. In addition, we intend to expand our interests in the fields of electronic security, parking and fire detection and protection both organically and through strategic acquisitions," concludes Fowles.
