GSC introduces new KeyProx access control solution

GSC Systems has released a new one or two door access control system, which it has dubbed 'KeyProx'. The system fills a gap between standalone readers and large complex on-line systems, says Erich Glatz, GSC's marketing director. KeyProx is a suitable for 'simple' access applications but also for complex and secure access configurations. The system consists of:

* A secure control unit.

* One or two proximity readers with or without keypad.

* Optional remote read heads.

* Win Software for optional serial link to a computer.

All features can be programmed via the keypad reader. An optional PC link allows programming and reporting from the PC/Windows software.

System features include:

* 1000 tags with individual PIN codes (1-6 digits).

* Last 2200 transactions with date and time stamp stored in controller memory.

* Three levels of programming: Installer, Supervisor and Administrator.

* Eight security schedules each with five time zones per day plus holiday access.

* 365 dates for holiday access.

* Security levels include: PIN only, Card only, Card+PIN, Double card, Double Card+PIN, Denied.

* Anti-pass-back modes supported: None, Full APB, Timed APB, or One Access per time period.

* A Door Schedule allows doors to be locked, unlocked or normal.

* Daylight saving time.

* Timed lockout after three wrong PIN codes.

* Universal Duress Code allows access with alarm event.

* Forced door and door left open generate alarm event.

* External alarm input.

* Remote Readheads can be connected to the keypad readers.

* All data stored in nonvolatile memory - 10 year data retention without power.
