The president of E.J. Brooks Company, John K. Roessner III, recently visited South Africa for the first time and was impressed with the country as a whole and the security industry in particular.

"Relative to the more mature markets of Europe and the United States, the industry in this region is still relatively young but, given the professionalism of our local distributor, Aluvin Securiseal, who are on a par with any of our other facilities worldwide, there is no reason why southern Africa should not become one of our major markets," said Roessner.

Aluvin has been distributing E.J. Brooks' products for over 20 years and, according to managing director, Kevin Norwitz, Roessner's visit was important because E.J. Brooks has been in operation for 130 years and this year Aluvin celebrates its 50th anniversary.

"It was pleasing and important for us to be able to show the president of Brooks, first hand, our expertise. After 50 years in the industry we are more optimistic than ever about building on the knowledge and experience that has made us the number one distributor and manufacturer of security sealing products in the country," said Norwitz.

Roessner said that based on his visit to South Africa he is looking forward to not only helping Aluvin consolidate its position in this country but also to helping extend the company's influence further north into Africa where there is a growing need for Brooks' products.
