ProxSwitch - standalone access control

GSC Systems has introduced its new standalone access control system, ProxSwitch.

According to Erich Glatz, marketing director of GSC Systems, ProxSwitch is a programmable proximity reader capable of storing the ID of 20 RFID cards/tags. Says Glatz, "The unit has been designed to Elvey UK specifications. Besides being used to control access on small installations, ProxSwitch can also be used to arm and disarm alarm panels. Sales in Europe have been excellent and several thousand units have already been shipped."

Features include:

* Simple and quick installation;

* Cost effective;

* Up to 20 users;

* Tamper switch;

* 2 line sensing resistors;

* Pulse or toggle mode;

* Indoor and outdoor use;

* Compatible with GSC's tag simulator.
