Simplifying architecture options

The Cardax FT Controller 3000 is a cost-effective integrated, intelligent field Controller for Cardax FT systems. Linking with the Cardax FT Command Centre, the Cardax FT Controller 3000 has on board I/O and reader connections.

Featuring straightforward system architecture, the Cardax FT Controller 3000 is capable of directly supporting up to eight doors with Cardax readers, or four doors with Wiegand format readers.

The Cardax FT Controller 3000:

* Includes a 32 bit Intel microprocessor.

* Makes all the access control decisions in the system.

* Communicates with the Cardax FT Command Centre using TCP/IP, a world standard network and Internet transmission protocol, over an Ethernet network.

* Includes a database capable of supporting 30 000 card records and a 10 000 events buffer in its default configuration for access control functions.

Cardax product manager, Kahl Betham, says the Controller 3000 has expanded the options for Cardax FT architecture to give a straightforward design for access control and alarms management. "The Cardax FT Controller 3000 supports our movement into the alarms management arena, with the Cardax FT Remote Arming Terminal," adds Kahl. The Cardax FT Remote Arming Terminal is a versatile, user-friendly, keypad interface for onsite alarms management in the field, and is due for release later this year.
