To avoid vandalism and monitor activities in schools, the Aveley School in Essex, UK deploys TeleEye III+ Network CCTV to get realtime video of the school hallways, corridors, playgrounds and public areas.
A TeleEye III+ VR video recording transmitter (Model: VR-16084) is installed to distribute video through the school's existing network. The IT manager of the school can monitor the school from anywhere on the campus and even remote locations. With its built-in hard drive, video can be recorded for further reference. In case of an incident occurrence, the school can check recorded video by simply using the time and data search function of the system. Moreover, its powerful triplex operation allows video monitoring, recording and playback to be performed at the same time without interrupting one another.
Mr J. Saxby, the IT manager of the Avery School said, "The TeleEye system is excellent in monitoring and recording activities in school throughout the day and keeping track of the security at night. The system has already yielded benefits by identifying a culprit who was setting off the fire alarm system. With the facility to monitor hallways during class, we are also able to ensure students are where they should be."
