Signalling the headway of the Cardax FT access control systems into the remote alarms management arena, Cardax recently announced the release of the Cardax FT remote arming terminal.
Connecting to the architecture of the Cardax FT Controller 3000, the remote arming terminal is a versatile, user-friendly, keypad interface for remote alarms management. Installed within the protected alarm zone, the Terminal allows users to monitor, arm, and disarm various sectors of the intruder alarm systems.
Each terminal can control up to 30 alarm zones (areas) and up to 100 inputs located on any Cardax FT Controller 3000. Although not connecting to a Cardax FT Controller 5000, the terminal can control alarm zones and inputs on all controllers residing on the same local area network (10Base-T). Zones can be armed and disarmed individually or all at once depending on user privileges. Details of the alarms can be viewed, and the alarms acknowledged, depending on user privileges. The terminal can be used in conjunction with a Cardax prox or prox plus reader, for card and PIN authentication, or the user must enter a user code of up to eight digits for access.
Advanced alarm zone management features are also incorporated in Cardax FT Command Centre, the head end of the Cardax FT system, allowing the guard to either access the command centre computer, or now, perform such operations at the C Remote Arming Terminal. Cardax will also be releasing expansion boards for the Controller 3000, in the form of an 8 input expansion, and an I/O expansion (eight inputs, four outputs), and a dialler 3000.
