Advanced fire alarm control panel

June 2003 Fire & Safety

Notifier, a leading manufacturer of commercial fire alarm systems and part of Honeywell's Fire Systems Group has introduced its latest fire alarm control panel - the NFS-3030 Panel. This system is designed for medium to large applications and is the newest addition to Notifier's new line of technologically innovative fire alarm products, the Onyx Series.

"The NFS-3030 is the most advanced panel we have ever designed. It extends the capabilities of the Onyx family to meet the needs of mid and large-sized facilities. This rounds out the product line making it ideally suited for these facilities," says Michael Lynch, vice president of engineering, Notifier.

The NFS-3030 is modular in design and allows for one to 10 signalling line circuits (SLCs) and up to 3180 devices. The auto-programming feature enables the system to be operational within minutes. This flexibility is ideal for retrofit and new construction applications of any size. The NFS-3030's large 640-character, menu-driven display provides critical information concerning type and location of disturbance. Operators can modify the NFS-3030s program online and perform other system maintenance functions such as disabling or enabling a device.

The NFS-3030 supports Notifier's FlashScan line of intelligent addressable devices, conventional devices through its panel circuits, and preceding generations of Notifier Intelligent devices. A host of other options is available, including single or multi-channel voice evacuation, firefighters' telephone, annunciators, PC-based graphical workstations, networking and system integration, and advanced detection products for challenging environments.
