D700 named TETRA Product of the Year

May 2000 IT infrastructure

Eagle Technology's 4-channel video multiplexer transmits four separate colour or B/W video signals (in any combination) in accordance with NTSC, PAL or SECAM specifications at distances up to 20 km (single mode).

Appropriate for use with single mode or multimode fibre, this video multiplexer system consists of a transmitter and receiver, both of which utilise FDM techniques to ensure high-quality transmitted image quality. Integral LEDs are provided for each channel on both the transmitter and the receiver to continuously indicate the presence of video signals and proper operation of the unit.

Built-in power supplies allow the units to operate from low voltage AC or DC sources, providing versatility in a fibre-optic transmission system. A 10-channel version is also available.
