LGC Forensics, formerly Kalagate, checks if the pictures recorded by the digital video surveillance system meet the requirements decisive for an argumentation in court.
This means for instance that the pictures' quality has to meet certain criteria and that there has to be an encryption to protect against external access to the closed system and to avoid extraneous manipulation. Furthermore, the recording systems have to be designed fraud-resistant, so that the authenticity of the picture can be assessed when copying data to DVD, eg, with an electronic water mark.
The DMX models of the Dallmeier Smatrix series have now received the LGC Forensics certification. The Smatrix is a VideoIP appliance with an integrated storage system, tailored to the needs of video security technology. Whether used with only network cameras or in joint hybrid operation together with analogue cameras, the Smatrix is flexible and supports the newest HDTV technologies.
Three different models are available, with either 10x 2,5-inch HDDs or 8x 3,5-inch HDDs. All Smatrix appliances stand out due to their energy saving and fit in with Dallmeier’s ‘Green Global Security’ philosophy.
