Secutech 2012 expects more than 560 exhibitors

December 2011 News & Events

Running from 18–20 April 2012 at the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Centre, Taiwan, Secutech, Asia’s leading security exhibition is expecting more than 560 exhibitors to showcase their latest electronic security, components of security, fire and safety and information security products and technologies.

The three-day show is organised by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media and provides buyers with a one-stop platform for sourcing, networking and information exchange. Already 75% of space has been reserved for the 15th edition of the show and confirmed exhibitors include Vivotek, Brickcom, Everfocus and HiSharp.

Parson Lee, managing director, Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media said: “The overwhelming response shows that Secutech is a premium sourcing platform and one that industry people cannot afford to miss.”

Commenting on plans to get buyers to the show, Mr Lee added: “We are aiming to attract 26 000 visitors from 100 countries and regions and to achieve this goal, we will be offering an accommodation subsidy to exclusive buyers as well as business matchmaking opportunities. Online registration for Secutech 2012 is available now and I encourage industry people to register and plan their trip in advance.”

Secutech will cover more than 35 800-square-metres of exhibition space and offer a broad spectrum of security products, including a comprehensive surveillance line-up from lenses, cameras, video servers, NVRs and DVRs to software platforms. The show attracts original manufacturers from China, Korea, Taiwan and other Southeast Asian countries and regions to demonstrate OEM products. This provides brand representatives with many opportunities to meet potential suppliers.

Held concurrently with the show will be CompoSec, which focuses on research and development. CompoSec is an exhibition and conference for security components as well as cutting-edge technologies and products. Secutech and CompoSec offer a synergy that brings enormous business opportunities to the global security industry.

Four international pavilions take part in the show

According to research analyst Frost & Sullivan, the annual security market in Asia Pacific is estimated to reach more than USD 3 billion by 2015 and this statistic is attracting security product suppliers to tap into this regional market by taking part in an international pavilion.

For Secutech 2012, there will be international pavilions from China, Germany, Korea and the US. The first time German pavilion is organised together with DEinternational Taiwan and will present innovative hi-tech German security products, and the US pavilion is organised by the American Institute in Taiwan and will introduce new security achievements to the industry. In addition, the Chinese and Korean pavilions will display various security products, from components, products and software to solutions.

Making its debut at the 2012 show will be the Vehicle Security Pavilion which will showcase mobile cameras, mobile DVRs, ANPR cameras, plate recognition systems and GPS systems. Other product pavilions include the IP Security and HD Surveillance Pavilion, which will feature more than 3000 IP security and HD surveillance solutions as well as the Access Control/ Biometric Pavilion, which will display a complete range of products and services.
