CNL Software was recently selected by one of the largest US Port Authorities to provide the integration and information management platform for port security.
The project consists of multiple ports in the region where container growth and capacity are expected to nearly double from a current 3,5 million containers to 6,5 million containers by 2018.
Heightened security has generated increased investment at numerous critical infrastructure sites across the country. Protecting the port from theft, activism, terrorism and all other forms of crime requires high levels of security. Over the years the port has deployed a wide range of physical security systems to address these security challenges. This latest enhancement will see all of these systems working together through the IPSecurityCenter integration and management platform, aggregating intelligence from these to increase situational awareness.
The solution will allow centralised command and control capability for all of the sites from one location. It consists of various security systems and services, including integrated and comprehensive video surveillance, wireless communications, radar, TWIC compliant access control, and a Command & Control solution for the port.
