VideoIQ and FLIR are pleased to announce VideoIQ's new FLIR enabled analytics/DVR/encoder system. Through a joint development partnership between VideoIQ and FLIR's engineers the company is offering a complete thermal guarding system.
The Thermal Analytics Processor optimised for FLIR provides intelligence to any FLIR surveillance camera. It provides 160 GB of on-board NVR storage, eliminating the need to stream images across a network to a central NVR and reducing network traffic and bandwidth by up to 90%. By automatically encoding analogue video from a FLIR camera into an IP video signal, the Thermal Analytics Processor makes them plug-and-play compatible with existing IP networks, simplifying site infrastructure. The Thermal Analytics Processor supports integration with many VMS systems including Genetec, Milestone, ONSSI, Lenel, and VideoIQ View.
“In partnership with VideoIQ, we have created the most effective and affordable off-the-shelf solution for security detection, analysis, alarming, recording and notification,” said Bill Klink, vice president of Security and Surveillance at FLIR Systems.
“By working with FLIR, we have developed the most scalable and accurate zero light surveillance solution available on the market for critical infrastructure, government and transportation customers, whether they are deploying a single camera in a remote location or hundreds of cameras to protect a large facility,” said Ed Bednarcik, president and CEO of VideoIQ.
