TeleEye launches day/night HD camera

September 2011 Surveillance, Products & Solutions

To cater for the low light requirements of high definition video surveillance systems, TeleEye has expanded its MX HD video camera product line by introducing a new day and night model with excellent low-light capability, the MX763-HD high definition box camera. It is designed for inter-changeable CSmount camera lenses. This follows earlier releases for three HD vandal resistant domes and an IR vari-focal HD video camera.

MX763-HD features:

* 1/3-inch Sony IMX 035 CMOS sensor.

* CS mount.

* 720p, 25 fps.

* Day/night, colour: 0,2 Lux; B/W: 0,1 Lux.

* 20X sensitivity boost.

* Wide dynamic.

* True day and night operation with auto IR-cut filter.

* Power over Ethernet – IEEE 802.3af.

* Independent HD recording stream.

Traditionally, HD cameras are built with CMOS sensors, which have poorer sensitivity in low light situations than analogue cameras with CCD chips. However, the MX763-HD incorporates the Sony IMX035 sensor, which can capture high picture quality HD images even in low illumination levels. It delivers good picture quality in HD resolution at 25 fps and can clearly see objects in the dark up to 15 m away. The camera is suitable to be used in large-scale dark or low-light environments. Suitable applications are car parks, backyards, gardens, traffic intersections and warehouses.

Multistream coder for HD video

The MX763-HD incorporates TeleEye’s proprietary multistream compression technology HD SMAC-M, which is the world's first multistream coder for high definition video. It generates four independent video streams and allows simultaneous HD video recording and fast video transmission via LAN, broadband or mobile networks. With this coder, the MX763-HD benefits from HD live video recording while maintaining an outstanding transmission with the maximum resolution of 1280x720p on Internet and mobile devices. This is three to five times more pixels than standard resolution IP camera.

Wider view

MX763-HD records HD video with a wide screen aspect ratio of 16:9. The wide screen format offers 33% more viewing area than traditional analogue cameras. It provides a wider coverage and greatly reduces blind spots in the surveillance system.

The HD SMAC-M video coder provides independent stream for mobile viewing via TeleEye iView using mobile devices, such as iPhone, iPad and Android phones. The TeleEye iView mobile monitoring solution delivers live video through Wi-Fi or mobile data networks.
