HID Global introduces Asure ID card personalisation software

April 2011 Access Control & Identity Management, Products & Solutions

HID Global has announced the release of Asure ID 7, the latest update to its card personalisation suite of software.

Building on the popular Asure ID 2009 software, Asure ID 7 features new navigational enhancements and advanced printing capabilities designed to simplify the entire process of card issuance from entry-level uses to more sophisticated secure credential applications.

HID Global's Asure ID 7 is a complete line of card personalisation software that is simple to learn and incorporates features to improve the issuance and management of photo IDs for any type or size of organisation. The latest software release includes new features and enhancements to the highly intuitive user interface, while still using a familiar Microsoft Ribbon look and feel that is built on the Microsoft .NET technology platform for stability and interoperability.

New Asure ID 7 features include the addition of Swift ID template importing, resin panel capabilities, iCLASS encoding support and an industry-unique feature which automatically notifies users of updates. Significant enhancements have been made to the reporting engine and to the iDIRECTOR module that allows users to build custom reports and easily integrate unique applications to both iCLASS and MIFARE cards.

“Current users of HID’s Asure ID 2009 software will appreciate the new enhancements we have made to simplify and expand upon the already robust feature set of our powerful personalisation software,” said Nils Wahlander, product marketing manager with HID Global. “This latest update illustrates HID Global’s ongoing commitment to improving the user experience of our customers by providing solutions for designing and producing ID cards with unprecedented ease and efficiency.”

Asure ID 7 includes four versions tailored to the various needs and sizes of an organization:

* Asure ID Solo – easy to use and perfect for entry-level card personalisation, Solo is loaded with useful features to improve the issuance and basic management of photo IDs.

* Asure ID Express – the ideal choice for organisations looking for affordable photo ID card software with advanced card design and batch printing capabilities.

* Asure ID Enterprise – featuring Live Link for large organisations that require multiple workstations to share a common database over a network in real time.

* Asure ID Exchange – designed for the most sophisticated secure credential applications combining Live Link advanced database support and iDIRECTOR technology card design for smartcard deployment.
