Magix Security to host Qualys briefing session and training in South Africa

February 2011 News & Events

Magix Security will be hosting a briefing session and a training course with Qualys in March to introduce the QualysGuard IT security and compliance Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) suite of services. The free sessions will be held in Johannesburg and Cape Town on 1 and 3 March 2011 respectively.

The briefing session will present Qualys’ on demand approach that enables organisations of all sizes to successfully achieve both vulnerability management and policy compliance initiatives cohesively, reducing costs and streamlining operations, featuring a Qualys subscriber sharing his experiences. The training course will show how Qualys services automate processes across the enterprise, providing network discovery and mapping, asset prioritisation, vulnerability assessment reporting and remediation tracking according to business risk, enabling customers to easily and efficiently remediate vulnerabilities across their organisations.

“Qualys ensures clients always work on the most up-to-date versions on its software by delivering the suite through the SaaS model,” says Alan Rehbock, sales and marketing director at Magix Security. “Using the SaaS platform ensures there is nothing to install or manage, which also means a lower and predictable total cost of ownership. It requires no capital expenditure and no extra human resources or infrastructure to take advantage of the full functionality of the suite. Magix Security is one of the pre-eminent South African value-added service reseller for Qualys.

“QualysGuard is able to seamlessly perform scans on geographically distributed and segmented networks, both at the perimeter and behind the firewall. Furthermore, its policy compliance features allow security managers to audit, enforce and document compliance with internal security policies and external regulations.”

To attend these free events, please contact Alan Rehbock at Magix Security on either +27 (0)11 258 4442 or [email protected].
