Compro introduces megapixel network camera

January 2011 Products & Solutions, Surveillance

Compro Technology today announces the latest iteration of its PTZ network camera - IP570P, with PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) support. The IP570P is essentially a PoE-capable version of the original IP570 flagship PTZ network camera which features 12X optical zoom, megapixel, D/N, and H.264 compression. The addition of PoE function is meant to eliminate the need for a power cable when power outlet is not available on installation site, as electrical power and data can both be delivered on the Ethernet cable.

Like the IP570, the new Compro IP570P also comes with a best-in-class progressive scan CMOS sensor. Its tri-codec video compression architecture, developed based on Compro's latest H.264 algorithm, can deliver 1,3 megapixel HD video with vivid picture quality. The advanced architecture also provides user with bit rate control and other detailed configurations for its dual simultaneous video streams.

On the audio front, Compro IP570P is equipped with a built-in microphone and an audio in/out port, allowing full-duplex and bi-directional audio communication. With the audio detection feature and connected external speaker, IP570P can be instantly transformed into a useful real-time communication tool and a crime prevention tool.

The IP570P also features multizone intelligent video motion detection. Upon detecting motion, the camera can send out SMS notification, alerting users of suspicious movement. Users then can acquire real-time image of their camera remotely via a Web browser-based platform, WebVUer, on their smartphone or PC. Additionally, the free bundled 32-CH ComproView video management software allows users to set up a professional surveillance system at their home or office. Finally, Compro IP570P can be integrated with an assortment of detectors and alarms engineered by Compro to achieve a comprehensive home surveillance solution.
