ZXP series 8, image changing technology

March 2010 Access Control & Identity Management

Pinnacle Africa announces the arrival of the Zebra ZXP Series 8 retransfer card printer. With the ability to produce photo-quality ID cards at much higher speeds, this machine has exceeded the performance of other retransfer printers on the market.

In addition to its technologically advanced functionalities, an XML-based software development kit is available to support many features and functionalities and application integration has been made easier with the Zebra developed ZMotif software platform.

The ZXP series 8 offers an array of options for smartcard encoding and networking that provide suitability for applications such as high security ID cards, driver’s licenses, gift and financial cards. The ability to print on uneven card surfaces, non PVC cards such as polycarbonate and biopolymer cards as well as durable and abrasion resistant cards, together with the modular design of this product makes it a future-proof solution for professional ID card printing. Users can also add on a variety of encoding modules for additional ID functionality if required. Available configurations for the Zebra ZXP series 8 include single or dual-sided printing and lamination, magnetic strip encoding and USB or Ethernet connectivity.
