State-of-the-art digital security systems the way forward

The proliferation of casinos in South Africa and the continued increase in crime and fraud, has led to an urgent demand for high-tech security systems which can identify and record 'hotspots' in a manner which is both cost-effective and acceptable to the criminal justice system.

Southwest Microwave has added new improvements in the release of the Version 3.0 Software for its INTREPID MicroPoint Cable perimeter intrusion system.

The INTREPID perimeter intrusion system is fence-mounted and pinpoints attempts to cut or climb a fence. The Version 3.0 software is the third generation of Site Manager and Map Monitor for the INTREPID system.

The software allows operators to import photos or drawings of the site, easily configure the system with the Drawing Tool, use the optional touch screen and utilise additional inputs/outputs and auxiliary sensors.
