Fire-safe security cabinets

Issue 2 2021 Fire & Safety

Today, reliable storage space for files and other documents is difficult to come by, even when space is available, as files are often left unprotected from the threat of fire. Important documents, valuable objects, archives and even some electronic devices can be a challenge to adequately secure. Fires that result in the destruction of business records and paperwork can spell disaster for many organisations.

The Chubbsafes Fire File 31-inch is a four-drawer filing cabinet that offers a reliable and efficient storage solution with the added benefit of fire resistance for up to two hours. Even if one of the drawers is accidentally left open, the other closed drawers are still protected by built-in fire resistance partitions.

These cabinets have been carefully tested to simulate the impact of a real-life fire to ensure you can breathe easy knowing that your files are safe in the event of a major incident. A fire endurance test is carried out by heating a safe in a furnace to temperatures of around 1000˚C.

This Chubbsafes filing cabinet meets recognised international standards, offering an authentic and trustworthy solution. This product is tested and certified by independent and reliable expert laboratories to meet your needs and offer the best filing cabinet solution for your valuable documents and belongings.

The steel-dividing plate between each drawer also provides added protection against theft and the cabinet comes with a high-security lock fitted as standard.

The cabinet operates comfortably with full drawer access on steel sliders and these low-weight cabinets result in reduced transport and installation costs as well as lighter floor loads.
