Suprema BioStation L2

November 2016 Products & Solutions, Access Control & Identity Management

BioStation L2 is a mid-range device that easily supports enterprise-level requirements in both access control and time and attendance applications. Providing exceptional value it boasts Suprema’s world’s best fingerprint algorithm, high performance and enhanced security.

Its fast data transfer speed, enhanced image processing, and quick fingerprint authentication (1:150000/second) can be attributed to BioStation L2’s powerful quad-core processor which sets it apart from its rivals. Loaded with a massive 2 GB flash and 256 MB RAM, BioStation L2 stores and manages up to 500 000 users (1:1); or 100 000 users (1:N) and 1 million logs.

Highest security standards are adhered to by incorporating premium technology such as Live Finger Detection and Suprema’s latest OP5 sensor and advanced fingerprint algorithm.

The new enhanced algorithm significantly reduces false rejection rates even in conditions that are not ideal for fingerprint capture. It compensates for unsatisfactory fingerprint captures such as direct sunlight conditions or distorted finger images.

BioStation L2 converges the benefits of biometrics into its time and attendance application. The use of true identity leads to increased convenience and security to users and administrators. Full capacitive touch keypads along with dedicated programmable TA function keys offer versatility and a friendly user experience through its full colour LCD display.

Administrators can easily add, remove and modify user data or access information from the device. Users can also easily access TA functions using the TA function keys and receive feedback right from the screen.
