Wireless networking products

October 2016 Infrastructure, Products & Solutions

UTC Fire & Security S.A. has added wireless access points to its range of transmission products. The interlogix IFS line of wireless access points (WAP) are ideal for setting up IP surveillance systems where cabling would be difficult or cost-prohibitive.

Supporting the latest IEEE802.3ac wireless standards, the WMC303 access points are ideal for busy control rooms that need support for wireless applications such as tablets and mobile.

Offering the flexibility of external antenna the WMC251 wireless access point is great for applications that require greater than the normal typical distances. Through the use of a high gain antenna this device can communicate at distances of 1 km plus (dependent on line of sight and environmental conditions). Operating at 2.4 GHz this product is compatible with TruVision Wi-Fi Wedge range of wireless cameras.

Supporting up to 300 Mb/s the WMC252 is a good option for applications requiring more bandwidth. Operating at 5 Ghz this product is ideal for applications where the 2.4 GHz spectrum may be too congested.

The IFS line of antennas enables a wider range of operational modes. From local 360° omni-directional support to more focused and higher gain longer distance applications, the antenna range is ideal for demanding wireless applications.
