High security site protected by Flexiguard.

A Flexiguard system from perimeter protection specialists Advanced Perimeter Systems (APS) is providing high security for a defence facility in the south of England.

Flexiguard is a fence-mounted system which provides an alarm should any attempt be made to break through the perimeter. In this installation by high security specialists Bell Security, the system is mounted on chainlink, weldmesh and pallisade fencing - a total run of 600 m - with a high security approach on the palisade combining a top and bottom run of the Flexiguard sensor cable to monitor for both cutting and climbing of the fence. The system is split into six zones, all reporting to a 24 h, PC-based security monitoring console, with the Flexiguard analysers linked to CCTV cameras to automatically direct the cameras to the potential security breach. Any alarm condition also activates an LED on a mimic panel to allow security personnel to immediately identify the relevant zone.
