Secure access for Toyota warehouse

Toyota South Africa motors parts distribution centre in Ekurhuleni near OR Tambo International Airport in Gauteng is Investec Property’s latest R363 million completed project. The project recently handed over to Toyota has been hailed as a success and the state-of-the-art mega distribution warehouse was completed on time and within budget.

Turnstar Systems was the choice when it came to controlling vehicular access to the loading areas and pedestrian access to the warehouse and office reception.

The four Traffic Master automatic vehicle barriers were installed at the main gate. The Traffic Master was chosen due to its high duty cycle and its sophisticated loop sensitivity detector settings. Six Triumph 4 full height turnstiles were installed at the warehouse entrance and the canteen entrance.

The Triumph is well known to Toyota, having been incorporated at the Toyota plant in Marlboro, Johannesburg, over five years ago. The office reception required a product that was both functional and aesthetically pleasing, blending in with the cutting edge interior design. The Triton half height glass turnstile was chosen for this purpose.
