Streamlines card personalisation software.

HID Global has released its Asure ID Software Development Kit (SDK) that enables more powerful card personalisation software for Fargo and all major desktop card ID printers. As part of the company’s Asure ID card personalisation solutions used by organisations to design, manage, print and encode identification cards, Asure ID SDK is a set of modules and tools for third-party developers to incorporate Asure ID card personalisation features into their own credential management systems.

Asure ID SDK enables developers to streamline the entire card personalisation process by fully integrating technology card programming and card design templates into credential management systems, allowing end users to leverage one software interface to design, encode and print ID cards. The SDK also simplifies the card personalisation integration into access control and other applications through the SDK tools and its application programming interface (API) commands.

“By making it possible for developers to easily integrate technology card encoding such as iCLASS smartcard programming using a Fargo printer for on-site, customised numbering and increased card security, the Asure ID SDK offers highly valuable and unique resources to the large number of integrators seeking this functionality,” said Nils Wahlander, product marketing manager with HID Global. “In addition to the features that simplify development, Asure SDK resources ultimately empower end users to easily create, manage and print professional quality photo identification cards.
