International attention for IFSEC SA

July 2011 News & Events

It looks like this year’s IFSEC SA exhibition is going to be a winner.

Along with the move to Gallagher Estate, IFSEC SA will this year sport a number of international guests looking to make an impact or increase their presence in the local market. And, of course, Hi-Tech Security Solutions will be there as well.

HID Global will be here to underline its commitment to the region while ensuring customers are able to see its new products in real-time and speak with HID specialists in person, says the company’s Roland Edwards. “One of our solutions highlights this year are the HID Global iCLASS SE readers,” he explains.

HID already supports the sub-Saharan African market via a network of equipment distributors and global/regional physical and logical access control specialists. Edwards notes that “Africa is definitely an important market going forward for HID Global”.

He adds HID is looking to further raise its profile by opening new channels and assisting its customers, new and existing, to grow their businesses. Apart from its products, the company will use the opportunity to discuss new developments in logical access control and physical access control solutions.

Pelican products also sees this market as important to its growth plans and has already made inroads into the region. This year it hopes to meet key decision makers and further expose Pelican Products to the South African market and uncover new business opportunities, according to Pelican’s Alexa Koen.

The region is on the company’s list of areas in which it plans to expand and IFSEC SA is a starting point for this growth. The company’s range of products and services will be on show, together with an experienced sales team to demonstrate and promote them.

A newcomer, HDH Security Services will also be at IFSEC SA. The company’s Michael Hewitt explains that it could not exhibit in Lagos earlier this year and therefore decided to expand its presence at the local exhibition.

“We do not currently have representation in this region but are working closely with UKTI in order to arrange appointments with suitable agents/distributors and maybe partners in the area,” Hewitt says. “Our expected achievements in attending this exhibition would be to introduce our Cash-in-Transit and Tracking products to a prospective new market area and investigate and act upon any opportunities that may arise.”

HD has more than 14 years of experience in the industry and provides bespoke solutions to a variety of demands.

Elvey goes platinum

Elvey Security Technologies has announced it will be the Platinum Sponsor of IFSEC South Africa 2011.

For Elvey Security Technologies, IFSEC South Africa 2011 also presents an opportunity to promote industry role players and thought leaders. “It is important to build meaningful relationships with both individuals and companies to strengthen the industry,” says Jack Edery, CEO of Elvey Security Technologies. “We feel a show like this will play a strategic role in bringing the security sector together.”

Furthermore, Edery believes the company’s support of the event will no doubt allow Elvey to explore a wide range of marketing and branding opportunities. “IFSEC South Africa 2011 will make it possible for us to reach an extended target market,” he adds. “For Elvey, it is clearly a win-win situation.”

Ross Cullingworth, director of sales and marketing for Montgomery Africa says Montgomery Africa is looking forward to working closely with Elvey to form a powerful strategic alliance. “Our focus is on improving the show’s performance and attendance figures,” he says. “As a host, it makes sense for us to align ourselves with the best in the business.”

Companies interested in exhibiting at IFSEC South Africa 2011 should contact Ross Cullingworth, +27(0)11 835 1565, rossc@montgomeryafrica.com. For further information visit www.ifsecsa.com
