Ultrak - a global force in security technology.

August '99 Surveillance

Ultrak Europe has taken its first step into the Polish security market with the acquisition of Mach Security.

The move, combined with other recent expansions, now gives the global distributor and manufacturer eight partner companies in its European division.

Mach has been operating in Poland since 1991 and is now recognised as one of the biggest CCTV distributors in the country. It is Poland's exclusive importer of many leading security brands trading through five official dealerships around Poland as well as a around 40 installers.

Director Mariusz Wojtas said: "There are a number of growth areas in the Polish security market, including demand for integrated systems. We believe the company that is the first to offer not only such systems but also training for installers will be the winner here.

"Another niche to be explored is the DIY market where we see the potential for simple CCTV systems to be sold through Poland's megastores where nothing like that is currently available."

Ultrak steps into Switzerland via MCS

Ultrak Europe has also entered the security markets in Switzerland and the Czech Republic with the acquisition of MCS (Multi Concepts Systemes), a company with an established reputation in SAFEnet and MDI technology.

The move, combined with other recent expansions, now gives the global distributor and manufacturer eight partner companies in its European division.

MCS has an enviable track record of major clients in the highest security arenas including prisons, international banks and embassies as well as blue chip international corporates such as Philip Morris and Cartier.

Patrick Muroni, Managing Director of MCS said: "Our customers will benefit enormously from the massive resources of Ultrak, not only as manufacturer and distributor but also through its extensive experience in design and installation. Similarly, our experience with MDI and SAFEnet technology will give us a useful role within the Ultrak stable."

MCS has its head office in Crissier, Switzerland but also serves Eastern Europe through a second base in Prague.
