TRI-BPT Automation, distributor of intercom and gate/door automation and CCTV equipment has opened a new SMATV (Satellite Master Antenna TV) department. As a start in this field TRI-BPT will be the exclusive distributor of the Italian manufacturer, Fracarro. Fracarro was established in 1933 and has 470 employees with branches in France, Spain, Portugal, UK and Thailand, and a sales turnover of 80 million Euro in 2004 (R656 million). Fracarro also acquired the Philips SMATV division in 2001. Its products are installed worldwide and just as a quick reference all the TV signals distribution of the Santiago Bernabeu stadium in Madrid (Spain) is made using Fracarro equipment.
The new department at TRI-BPT is coordinated by the product manager, Faisal Noormahomed.
The SMATV department will allow TRI-BPT to expand the customer base including all the antennas/satellite installers and at the same time to increase the offering to the existing customer base that is already involved in security products.
There is a tendency in technology to group together communication and security and evolve it into 'home automation'. This step will allow TRI-BPT to increase the technical knowledge and offer more solution to the market.
