Following on from the launch of its DTL range of digital recorders, Baxall has introduced the MDAe (multidisk array) digital video storage system. Designed to work in conjunction with the DTL960e hard disk recorder, the MDAe maintains up to eight hard drive recordings with a storage capacity of 2 TB (the equivalent of six month's storage in 24-hour mode, at medium quality video), making it extremely effective and efficient.
The MDAe is also very easy to use. LCD and LED indicator lights show how many hard drives are installed and operating, plus the total disk space. Retrieval and viewing of video is also simple for operators using the WaveReader software which is supplied with the MDAe. This enables users to search and view the archived images directly from the MDAe. Images can also be captured, printed and exported as a file document. The MDAe can be supplied with or without hard drives installed and is Ethernet compatible. Baxall is represented in South Africa by Reditron.
