Aluvin heralds new era in bag security

October 2003 Products & Solutions

A versatile, new-generation range of re-usable security bags manufactured by world leader ITW Envopak and distributed by Aluvin Securiseal is heralding a new era in bag security. Updated and re-patented to incorporate improved security features, the new range is superior to similar products in the market, says Aluvin managing director, Kevin Norwitz.

Germiston-based Aluvin Securiseal is the largest manufacturer and distributor of security sealing products and the sole ITW Envopak representative in southern Africa.

"Envopak invented the concept of re-usable security bags more than 50 years ago and the latest product offering illustrates why it remains the top international brand in this sector," says Norwitz.

Consisting of four models fitted with state-of-the-art seals, the new range offers different levels of security and allows customers to choose the most cost-effective solution when it comes to the secure transport of documents and other valuables.

The four models, available in different shapes, sizes and colours, are:

* A heavy-duty Envopak, made of nylon coated PVC and sealed with the new Envopolyseal II or high-security Envomaxiseal.

* A normal-duty Envopak, also made of nylon coated PVC and sealed with the new Envopolyseal II or high-security Envomaxiseal.

* The new Durapak, made of a durable lightweight material and sealed with the new Envopolyseal II or Envomaxiseal. Durapaks can be re-used up to 300 times, offering a significant saving on postage.

* The streetsmart new Quikpak, an innovative alternative to disposable bags with adhesive strips. A Quikpak bag can be used up to 100 times, at about 20% of the cost of one-trip bags. It comes with the specially designed Quikseal.

The seals bear the hallmarks of latest blue-chip engineering. The Envopolyseal II is a significant advance on Envopak's well-known bag seal, whilst the Envomaxiseal with its maximum-security locking chamber and Quikseal add versatility to the range. Sequential numbering is standard.

Norwitz cautioned against poor imitations in the market: "The only guarantee of product integrity and performance is a patented product manufactured to the highest specifications and quality standards. Customers should think twice before using old technology copied product that may compromise the entire security bag system.
