Sensormatic's Intergra digital time-lapse video recorder named industry's best new closed-circuit television product

May 2000 Surveillance

Sensormatic Electronics Corporation has announced that its Integra digital time-lapse video recorder was named the best new closed-circuit television (CCTV) product at the Security Industry Association's New Product Showcase.

The CCTV Product Achievement Award for Integra was announced at the recent International Security Conference in Las Vegas. Integra was selected for the top CCTV honour from among 19 entries in the category.

"We are very honoured that security industry professionals chose to recognise Integra for its combination of technological advances, reliable performance and ease of use," said Ron Nieman, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Sensormatic's Video Systems Division.

The latest in recordable DVD-RAM disk technology combines with Integra's high-resolution video processing to provide highly detailed and clear images as compared to VHS videotape. Alarms and events can be recorded, logged and accessed immediately with no waiting for tape to advance or rewind.

Optical disk storage ensures extra long life for both the recorder and recording media. There are no tape heads to clean, no transport mechanism to service and no media deterioration over hundreds of recording cycles. With the ability to outlast several VCRs, Integra can pay for itself just in the cost savings for service and spares.

Integra accepts a video feed from either a single camera, a matrix switcher, a quad or multiplexer. Also compatible with Robot, American Dynamics and Sensormatic multiplexers - customers can upgrade the time-lapse VCR in their existing systems without replacing multiplexers and other equipment.
