Ring has a number of video doorbells available in South Africa. These devices run off batteries or power, and enable users to answer their doors from anywhere in the world through an internet connection.
The Video Doorbell Pro is a hardwired device that comes standard with 1080p HD video with a 160-degree field of view as well as two-way audio to allow you to see and speak to the person at your door. It uses Amazon’s cloud service to store video for future reference. A less costly model, the Video Doorbell 2, is also available, which can be hardwired or run off the included battery. An extra rechargeable battery pack is included to ensure power is not an issue. It also alerts users via their mobile devices when someone is at the door, offering video and two-way audio. Adjustable motion detection zones are available to ensure users cover the areas they choose.
