Drone Guards aerial surveillance service

Residential Estate Security Handbook 2019 Surveillance

Having an eye in the sky adds an effective security layer to any existing residential estate security operation. Drone Guards provides that eye in the sky by using the latest technology in the unmanned aerial surveillance space in co-operation with an estate’s existing security personnel on the ground. Aerial surveillance technology is one of the most effective ways of protecting people and property, and hence forms a formidable deterrent to crime, enhancing the way residential estates are secured.

Drone Guards delivers an aerial security surveillance service which includes a certified and tactically trained drone crew (pilot and observer), drone, remote pilot station and safe operating procedures with all required permissions. Live drone footage is streamed to a site’s control room in high definition where night-time activity is visible with thermal imaging technology. Recorded footage can be used to support legal proceedings.

The customised aerial surveillance missions are planned according to location-specific security threats and deployment of pilots at locations can be done covertly or as part of a visible deterrent programme. Missions are randomised and can be perimeter surveillance and/or trigger specific flights to investigate potential threats.

Drone Guards is part of the UAV Aerial Works group of companies and is licensed, insured and approved by the South African Civil Aviation Authority (SACAA) to operate over people, buildings and roads during day and night operations.
