1 May 2016 News & Events, Conferences & Events

ESDA will be hosting a breakfast at Securex on the 24th May, starting at 7:30 am. This members-only event will be held in Gallagher 3 and ESDA members are invited to bring their clients along to hear Alderman J.P. Smith from the City of Cape Town speaking on The Role of Technology in Combating Crime.

ESDA members and their clients will enjoy a hot breakfast and hear how electronic security technology has been used to effectively combat crime before going through to see the 150 exhibits at Securex.

Alderman J.P. Smith serves on the Provincial Executive of the Democratic Alliance and since 2011 has served as the Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security. This position includes oversight of the Metro Police, Traffic, Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Rescue Services, Disaster Risk Management and the Public Emergency Call Centre. Under the leadership of Ald Smith, Cape Town has made significant strides in combating crime in the city and outlying regions.

Following the breakfast, everyone is invited to visit the ESDA stand to find out more about the association and the benefits of membership, and to test their putting abilities.
