Secure communications for estates

Residential Estate Security Handbook 2016 - Vol 1 Residential Estate (Industry), Products & Solutions

When changing security companies, you no longer have to change the radio transmitters in every house. Just swing over the radio transmissions to the new owners by swapping over the radio’s codes to the new service provider on VixNet’s server. This changeover from one provider to the next is quick and at no charge. VixNet can also send the signal to multiple control centres, including the estate itself.

The use of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum technology provides a high degree of data security as well as immunity to jamming. The VixNet solution therefore has a high immunity to jamming or interference, whether deliberate or accidental. VixNet transmissions can still be processed in noisy and difficult RF environments. The signal penetrates through urban noise and it is designed to transmit and receive out of malls and CBDs.

Moreover, no ICASA licence is needed by the client as the network is privately owned and already has the required ICASA licence and all products are type approved.
